~Mission Statement~
The Most Holy Trinity Office of Religious Education is dedicated to providing the
students of Most Holy Trinity Parish catechesis that is directly in line with the teaching
of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. By the grace of God, the Church has provided us
with a tool for aiding and directing the growth of our faith which is the Catechism of the
Catholic Church. Therefore, it is the aim of the program that the catechesis follows the
subsequent points:
Catechesis must be systematic, not improvised but programmed to reach a precise goal.
Catechesis must deal with essentials, without any claim to tackle all disputed questions or to transform itself into theological research or scientific exegesis.
Catechesis must nevertheless be sufficiently complete, not stopping short at the initial proclamation of the Christian mystery such as we have in the core of the Catholic faith.
Catechesis must be an integral Christian initiation, open to all the other factors of Christian life.
It is the ultimate objective of the program that upon completion students will have developed
an intimate relationship with Christ that will allow them to think like Jesus, judge like Jesus,
follow Jesus’ commands, and hope as Jesus invites us to.
