About CGS
We are excited to bring a beautiful ministry to our parish for children ages 3-6 beginning in September, 2026: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. CGS is a Montessori-based approach to the faith formation of children that nurtures a deep relationship with God through prayer, sacred scripture, liturgy and hands on learning. This summer we will be renovating one of the classrooms on the 3rd floor of the school into a peaceful, prayerful, sacred space called an Atrium. In the Atrium, children encounter the love of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, through carefully designed materials and quiet reflection. Rather than simply teaching information about the faith, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd invites children to personally experience God's presence and grow in wonder, joy, and reverence.
