K-12 Faith Formation

Faith Formation is a spiritual home for youth of all ages to encounter Christ and to nurture faith through Discipleship, Encounter/Adoration , Sacraments, Service, Fellowship, and Inspiration

Sometimes we may think of Faith Formation as merely another program in which to enroll our children. But, what is really being offered, is a relationship/friendship with the Living God. Faith Formation is about sharing this friendship with others; providing opportunities to learn and experience the life changing power of God Himself. It is about a friendship with a God who is real, who comes, who visits, who is interested, who reveals himself, who heals/forgives and who invites us to participate in His very divine life. Lets always keep in our hearts the words of Pope Benedict XVI when he says, “Life is being in relationship with God. When we are in relationship with the one who lives, then we love, then we truly love & have hope that lasts.”

All youth who are currently in grades 8-12 are invited to attend this years Steubenville "Worthy" Youth Conference. Don't delay in registering - limited spots. We hope you will join us-it wouldn't be the same without you!

K-8 Faith Formation

Word of Life from Augustine Institute  focuses  on four essential catechetical threads: Salvation History, Christian Anthropology, Heroic Virtue, & Charter Formation.  Our goal is to assist parents in cultivating within their family a personal encounter with God; to know and experience Him.  God is truly real, truly alive and always with us.  Students are invited to hear and respond in love to God, our creator, who "first loved us" (1 John 4:19).

High School Schedule

High School Faith Formation

Centered on  an apprenticeship of the Christian life, MHT provides small & large group formation.  Led by adult mentors, small groups create a safe environment  for teens to know they "belong." While, at the same time, discovering their true identity and the profound truths of their Catholic Faith.  To help ensure that the small groups are connected/supporting one another in mission for our Lord and His Church, large group gatherings are also at the core of formation

Confirmation Schedule

Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation Preparation begins in 9th grade as part of high school faith formation and continues through 10th grade. Students receive Confirmation in the spring of their 10th grade year.

The person receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation will receive the  grace to boldly proclaim the power and joy of the Gospel message.  Just like Baptism, the Sacrament of Confirmation transforms us forever.  "From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace by rooting us more firmly in Christ; increasing the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us; rendering our bond with the Church more perfect and equipping  us for witness" (CCC 1303).  Overall, the primary goal of the Confirmation preparation program is to assist young people in their encounter with the Living Christ;  equipping them for mission to which God has called them as His disciples.

HS Youth Bible Study

Begins Friday, Oct. 10, 2025

Youth are invited Friday mornings to the Youth Center from 7:00 am to 7:45 am to spend time in fellowship and purposeful connection with friends journeying together to explore the "Good News" of His Word.  Being formed and living by God's Word, His Voice is the only real joyful way to live. And living a joyful life is the best way to share the joy of the Gospel message with others.

Youth Retreats

A youth retreat  experience is an invaluable way to encounter our Lord; inspiring  a deeper life of faith.

Encounter Opportunities
Experiencing the God who infinetly Loves Us

Throughout the year, Encounter opportunities are provided such as Mass, Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration, Praise & Worship, Living Rosary, Stations of the Cross and devotionals. It is through these Encounters that we receive the grace to grow in holiness. Saint Mother Teresa once said. “The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth.  Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him, make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will bring about everlasting peace on earth.”
