High School Ministry
Our youth ministry program aims to connect all of our youth into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the many encounter opportunities that we offer during the year. All of our events are scheduled with these four goals in mind:
1. We want to form a community where kids can build relationships
together and be vulnerable when needed
2. To have an encounter with Jesus Christ and enter into a personal
relationship with Him.
3. To provide opportunities for youth to learn more about the
person of Jesus Christ and His Church.
4. Provide training so that when our kids encounter Jesus and get to
know Him, they understand that He has a mission for them to "go
out to all of the nations and proclaim the Good News".
It is our hope that upon high school graduation, all of our youth would be equipped with the necessary tools to continue growing in their faith at college and in the workplace.
To improve communication about different events offered with Youth Group, I’m implementing a new way of communicating between myself and parents and high school students.
With Remind, you can choose to receive announcements via text message or email depending on your preference. I have two different groups set up: one for general youth group announcements related to retreats, fundraisers, Steubenville, and more; and another for our High School Women’s group. For parents of 8th graders, feel free to sign up for the general youth group announcements to stay in the loop with fundraisers and other information about Steubenville.
To sign up to receive text messages for general youth group announcements, text @mhtyouths to 81010. For general youth group email announcements, send a blank email to email@example.com.
Even with this tool, I will still have announcements in the bulletin. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Mission: Flint - July 21-26
For a week in July, our youth group will be taking part in a service retreat week. During the daytime we will be working with local Flint non-profits to serve the Flint community, and then during the evening we will enter into a retreat setting and take part in different talks/reflections/confession/adoration. This is an excellent opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ, serve others, and meet new people from around the Lansing Diocese.
