High School Ministry
Our youth ministry program aims to connect all of our youth into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the many encounter opportunities that we offer during the year. All of our events are scheduled with these four goals in mind:
1. We want to form a community where kids can build relationships
together and be vulnerable when needed
2. To have an encounter with Jesus Christ and enter into a personal
relationship with Him.
3. To provide opportunities for youth to learn more about the
person of Jesus Christ and His Church.
4. Provide training so that when our kids encounter Jesus and get to
know Him, they understand that He has a mission for them to "go
out to all of the nations and proclaim the Good News".
It is our hope that upon high school graduation, all of our youth would be equipped with the necessary tools to continue growing in their faith at college and in the workplace.
Junior High and Middle School
Dear Students and Parents,
Due to a change in priority for the fall, middle school youth group will not start up until the New Year. I love middle school youth group and will be excited to resume it later on in the year! If anyone has any questions then please email me and let me know!
Director of Youth Ministry
Students will need a note from their parents saying they have permission to attend youth group each week. Please fill out the Emergency Contact Form on file and turn into the Parish Office or Corey Luna.
To improve communication about different events offered with Youth Group, I’m implementing a new way of communicating between myself and parents and high school students.
With Remind, you can choose to receive announcements via text message or email depending on your preference. I have two different groups set up: one for general youth group announcements related to retreats, fundraisers, Steubenville, and more; and another for our High School Women’s group. For parents of 8th graders, feel free to sign up for the general youth group announcements to stay in the loop with fundraisers and other information about Steubenville.
To sign up to receive text messages for general youth group announcements, text @mhtyouths to 81010. For general youth group email announcements, send a blank email to firstname.lastname@example.org. For Women’s group, text @wgmht to 81010 or send a blank email to email@example.com.
Even with this tool, I will still have announcements in the bulletin. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Alt Spring Break - 3 / 2 4 / 1 8 - 3 / 3 0 / 1 9
During Spring Break this year we will be going down to North Carolina and serving with Habitat for Humanity. 8th Grade Retreat - 4 / 5 / 1 9 - 4 / 7 / 1 9
Our annual 8th grade weekend retreat will be a huge time for this year's 8th grade class to receive a new outpouring of God's love for them and a real encounter with God. We will be staying at Rock Lake Camp Assembly in Vestaburg, MI and the cost of the weekend will be $65.
Steubenville - 6 / 2 1 / 1 9 - 6 / 2 3 / 1 9
We will be traveling down to Franciscan University of Steubenville to take part in the Steubenville Youth Conference during June of this year. Every year we encounter the power of God's love that manifests in so many different ways throughout the weekend!! This year the cost of Steubenville will be dependent on how much we fundraise, but our estimated cost this year will be $300. The link to sign up for Steubenville is now available online.

The Mission: Flint - TBD
For a week in July, our youth group will be taking part in a service retreat week. During the daytime we will be working with local Flint non-profits to serve the Flint community, and then during the evening we will enter into a retreat setting and take part in different talks/reflections/confession/adoration. This is an excellent opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ, serve others, and meet new people from around the Lansing Diocese. Right now there isn't a set date, but there will be by the beginning of March.
Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Have you been away from church for a while but would like to come back? Or would you like to learn more about the faith?
Please contact Paul Fahey at (989) 593-3174 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or Adam Halfman at (989) 593-2162 or via email at email@example.com. We would love to help you grow in your faith!
